The letter to Professor Kawamata that wouldn't normally write
Dear Sir
Nice to meet you. My name is Kenta Kawai. I will excuse you for a sudden letter.
The other day, Mr. Kazuya Nakayama, a friend staying in Paris, asked everyone of Kawamata seminar to hold an exhibition. Since I am planning to go to Paris just during the exhibition, I came across this story and thought that I would like to write a letter to Mr. Kawamata before seeing the exhibition.
Also called, although I have never met Mr. Kawamata, I have not spoken about Mr. Kawamata about me for about 10 years in my surroundings. Because I am working in the office of Mr. Kosugi Hirohisa who is the member of the PH Studio, and Mr. Ryota Sanefuji who is my old friend and also became an extended family member, it is not an exaggeration to say that it was ten years that I was constantly feeling the existence of Mr. Kawamata nearby. Like a regular train which is running after the next next rail of express train, there is me running side by side with Mr. Kawamata and I felt like I was looking at the express train which is going strongly fast from the train window of the regular train.
Under such circumstances, I am very much looking forward to seeing that everyone of Kawamata Seminar will be exhibiting at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in the home ground. I do not know how it will be, but I feel like I'm sure I can see Mr. Kawamata someday. Well then, I pray for the success of the exhibition.

Mr. Nagamine(Students of Kawamata Atelier) taught me to take responsibility for the work a few days before I met Mr. Kawamata.
Also, Mr. Nagamine taught me how important animation television program on late night Thursday that day I met Mr. Kawamata.
Please give my regards to Mr. Nagamine.
As summer approached, every time I came to the town, I came to search her for inadvertently.
One day, when I saw the sale basket of the UNIQLO Tsukasin store in Japan, a white one piece was sold for 500 yen on that dark blue land.
Size and length sense did not match, but after all I bought and went home.
Please give my regards to her.
Supplement
This letter for a souvenir was delivered by me on November 28. This was brought to Mr. Kawamata by Yuki Inoue, who consulted you on the submissions and works when I took the Beaux-Arts exam in April (though I didn't pass). I am now living in Frankfurt, Germany. Miji Yoon said that she might go to Nara with Mr. Kawamata.

拝啓
はじめまして。私、川合健太と申します。突然のお便り失礼します。
先日、パリに滞在中の友人、中山和也氏より、川俣ゼミの皆さんが展覧会を開催されることを伺いました。私もちょうどその会期中にパリに行く予定がありますので、その話を伺って、これは展覧会を見る前に川俣さんにお便りを書いてみようと思い立ちました。
といいますのも、私は川俣さんにはお会いしたことがないのですが、この約10年間、私の周囲では川俣さんにまつわるお話が尽きません。PHスタジオのメンバー、小杉浩久さんの事務所に所属してお仕事をしていることと、旧友で親戚にもなった實藤亮太君が川俣さんの助手を務めていたことで、常に川俣さんの存在を近くに感じつつ過ごしていた10年間だったと言っても過言ではありません。まるで特急列車の三本となりのレールを走っている普通列車かのように、川俣さんと並走している私がいて、早く力強く進んで行く特急列車を普通列車の車窓から眺めているような、そんな気分でした。
そうした中、川俣ゼミの皆さんが、ホームグラウンドであるエコール・デ・ボザールで展覧会をされるとのこと、大変楽しみにしております。どのような形になるかはわかりませんが、いつかきっと川俣さんにお会いできるような気がしてなりません。それでは、展覧会のご盛会をお祈り申し上げます。

長嶺さん（川俣アトリエの学生）はあの数日前に、私に作品に対して責任を持つことを教えてくださいました。 また、あの日、木曜日の深夜アニメがどれほど大切かを教えてくださいました。 長嶺さんによろしくお伝えください。 夏が近づくにつれて、街に出る度にあてもなく彼女を探すようになりました。 ある日ユニクロつかしん店のセールカゴを見ると、あの紺地に白いワンピースが500円で売っていました。 サイズや丈感は合わなかったけれど、結局買って帰りました。 彼女によろしくお伝えください。
補足
お土産のためのこの手紙は、11月28日に届けました。これは、4月にボザールを受験（不合格でしたが）した際に、フランス語での提出や作品について相談をした井上祐希が持参しています。今、ドイツのフランクフルトに住んでいます。また、文中の彼女とは、川俣先生とともにサポートしてもらったMiji Yoonさんのことです。Miji Yoonさんが、川俣先生とともに奈良にいくかもしれないと言っていたそうです。
