The water buffaloes are a popular mascot among the people at Taipei National University of the Arts, but I want to connect the buffalo's sphere of life to the student's sphere, so that the water buffalos could become more involved with Taipei National University of the Arts. So I invited the buffaloes to visit Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, which is considered to be the center of art at Taipei National University of the Arts.
A Water buffalo have a strong bond with humans and have a history of helping human farming. To further strengthen the bond between the water buffaloes and Taipei National University of the Arts, the water buffaloes walk toward Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts (On the main street of Taipei National University of the Arts, there are many buses and motorbikes passing by at high speed, but time will start to flow slowly with the water buffaloes), and while the water buffaloes were staying at Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, people were interested in the water buffaloes and I think the relationship between the water buffaloes and Taipei National University of the Arts will become closer than ever before. I want to make sure that not only is there the water buffaloes meadow next to us, but the water buffaloes and Taipei National University of the Arts are together.
On the other hand, in Ishigaki island in Okinawa prefecture of Japan, a tour to visit the island by a water buffalo car is popular. The reason for its popularity may be that people can touch a buffalo and humans, but it can also be said that they can experience the history of coming to Japan from Taiwan. In 1933, two female and one male buffalo arrived from Taiwan for the first time. Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts has many international exchange programs, and people from many countries visit. I would like to take this opportunity to further deepen the bond between the he water buffaloes and Taipei National University of the Arts and to confirm their exchanges with people from various countries.

Welcome to the Art World 〜犇犇美術館〜

水牛は台北芸術大学の関係者に愛されているマスコットキャラクターですが、水牛の生活圏を学生の生活圏に結びつけ、水牛にさらに台北芸術大学に関わってもらえたらと、台北芸術大学の中でも芸術の中心と考えられる美術館に来てもらいました。
水牛は人間との絆も深く、人間の農耕を手伝って来た歴史もあります。水牛と台北芸術大学の絆をさらに深めるために、美術館に向かって歩き（台北芸術大学のメインストリートは、ハイスピードで行き交うバスやバイクが多いですが、水牛とともにゆっくりした時間が流れ始めるでしょう）、美術館に滞在する水牛に人々は興味を持ち、これまで以上に水牛と台北芸術大学が近い関係になるのではと思います。水牛の草原が隣にあるというだけでなく、水牛と台北芸術大学が一緒にいるという状況にしたいと思います。
一方、日本の沖縄県の石垣島では、水牛車に乗り、島を巡るツアーが人気です。水牛と人間が触れ合えるということもあるかもしれませんが、台湾から日本に渡った歴史に触れることができるとも言えると思います。1933年に台湾から二頭の雌と一頭の雄の水牛がはじめて日本にやってきたということです。関渡美術館には多くの国際交流プログラムがあり、多くの国の人々が訪問しています。水牛と台北芸術大学の絆を一層深めるとともに、様々な国の人々との交流を確認する機会にできたら幸いです。
